(Redefining Equity: Decolonizing Public Health for a Healthier World),希望能深入探討殖民歷史如何影響今日的全球健康不平等,並思考未來的變革方向。
2025 Global Public Health Week centers around the theme “Redefining Equity: Decolonizing Public Health for a Healthier World.” This year’s focus invites us to take a closer look at how colonial history continues to shape global health inequalities today—and to reflect on the changes needed to build a more equitable future.
Recently, we had the opportunity to interview Professor Yu-Hui Tseng from the Institute of Public Health at National Cheng Kung University. With a long-standing commitment to global health, Professor Tseng has conducted field research in Bangladesh and India, exploring local health challenges within their broader social contexts.
Her work spans across South Asia and Africa—from long-term observations on how anti-poverty programs in Bangladesh impact healthcare access for underserved populations, to evaluating the implementation of primary healthcare policies by community health workers in South Africa.
Curious about what “decolonizing public health” really means? Let’s hear what Professor Tseng has to say.
This interview will be released in three parts—stay tuned!
